The Ghana Armed Forces Team will be participating in the upcoming African and World Military Sports respectively, according to the Director for Physical Training and Sports of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Colonel Richard Akoto.

The African Military Sports will take place in Sierra Leone this year. Date to be updated….

“Our aim is to groom these athletes to compete in the international games. They will take part in the African Military Sports in Sierra Leone”, said Colonel Akoto

He also hinted that from the African Military Sports in Sierra Leone they will also compete in Belgium for the World Military Sports.

The World Military Sports is scheduled to take place in Belgium later in the year.

“What we want to do is to take these athletes to the next level”, he added.

The Africa Military Games (Jeux Africains Militaires in French) is a multi-sport event for African military athletes. The International Military Sports Council (CISM) and its sister organization, the Organization of Military Sport in Africa, hosted the one-off event (OSMA).
