Exclusive News: 18 Athletes Have Passed Out More To Follow – Colonel Richard Akoto

On Friday, 28th January 2022 the Ghana Armed Forces held an inaugural ceremony for its new recruits into the Army.
A number of eighteen athletes were in those recruits and was a great moment for our athletes. The athletes include athletics, football, volleyball, hockey and amongst others. According to the Director for Physical Training and Sports of the Ghana Armed Forces Colonel Richard Akoto, GAF has a lot of plans to revive most of the lesser and dead sporting activities in Ghana.
“Coincidentally on Friday, 28th January we had 18 athletes passing out from the recruiting school. There is a plan and so far we have taken 242 athletes not only in athletics but volleyball, basketball, hockey, football, boxing and amongst others” said the Director for Physical Training and Sports of the Ghana Armed Forces Kernel Richard Akoto.
According to him GAF is planning to recruit a lot of athletes in all the sporting disciplines in the coming years and to train and prepare them for international games.
“Presently, the national hockey team is dominated by our athletes”, he added
