Selemon Barega one of the teenagers who is making waves in the distance running on the track also finished second in 8:09.82 just a microsecond shy of the world-leading time. United States’ Olympic bronze medalist in the 5000 metres also placed third in 8:09.83. The 2 miles race set the stadium ablaze with the sprint finishing style.
