Dominic had his primary education at the Kwadaso Estate M/A and also continues his Junior High School at the same Kwadaso Estate M/A
After he completed his junior high school, Dominic had the chance to enter the Kumasi Technical Institute, Kumasi, Ashanti Region. Dominic realise his potentials and started to train. He begun to preparing for their annual inter house games and Dominic had a tremendous performance in the 110 meters hurdles and the 400 meters hurdles. From there Dominic joined the Kumasi Technical institute school team. He won most of the school games and became a pivotal athlete for the Kumasi Technical Institute.

Dominic completed Kumasi Technical Institute in 2019 and due to his athletic performance he got admission to pursue Physical Education at the University Of Education, Winneba (UEW), Central Region. Dominic is now at level 100 and a fresher student at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Central Region.
Dominic runs his personal best in the 400 meters hurdles at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, Ashanti Region. He also did another personal best in the 110 meters hurdles at the Essipong Sports Stadium, Western Region.

Dominic Essumang is coached by the great Margret Simpson and one renowned Mr. Fredrick Osei popularly known as Coach 2pe who is a Police Officer.
Dominic Essumang disclosed to us that his ambition is to represent Ghana in both Olympics and World championship. He also hinted that the 2023 All African Games which will be hosted in Ghana he is ever ready to be part of the national team and he promised to win a medal for mother Ghana.
āI am ever ready if the Local Organising Committee (LOC) calls me for camping it will be a dream come trueā.
