The Queen’s Baton has successfully arrived in Ghana on Monday 25 October 2021 exactly 14:00 GMT. The presentation was done by Mr. Alie Gibril Koroma, a member of the Commonwealth Games Association of Sierra Leone. He presented it to Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah, the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee at the Kotoka International Airpot. Detailed program of the Queen’s Batons activities in Ghana.

Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah said “the Baton carries a message from the Queen of England to all the 72 nations of the Commonwealth Games. The 2022 games will be hosted in Birmingham, England.

The schedule of the activities and where will it be from tomorrow before moving to Cameroun.

Flag Staff House – Ghana Armed Forces Athletics Team will tour from the Flag Staff House through the principal streets of some parts of Accra- 37 Military Road – Elwak Traffic Light – then to Elwak Sports Stadium.

From there it will move to the Tema Metropolis

Last is Ashanti Region – Manhyia Palace – Ntonso the place where the symbols of Adinkra were originated – Bonwire popular known as the origin of Kente cloth.

About 100 people will get the opportunity to get hold of the Baton in Ghana. The Queen’s Baton will depart the shores of Ghana on Thursday 28 October to Cameroun.
