Deborah Acquah Ranks Fifth Best Long Jumper Athlete in 2022

Deborah Acquah Ranks Fifth Best Long Jumper Athlete in 2022 – Ghanaian record holder in the long and triple jumps (indoor) Deborah Acquah has been ranked as the fifth (5th) best athlete in the women’s division in the long jump in 2022.

Acquah has had a tremendous and successful season in 2022. She is a student of Texas A&M University in the United States. She won a silver medal in the 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco. read more

In 2021, she narrowly missed the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games by an inch during their NCAA championships. She has already qualified for the two major upcoming athletics events: World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, United States, and Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Although, she missed the 2022 African Senior Athletics Championships that was held from 8th – 12th June at Cote d’Or National Sports Complex, Mauritius due to their NCAA Nationals Championships.

In 2021, she was named the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) of the year during their 46th SWAG Awards. Deborah has won a lot of laurels for herself since 2019 – date. read more

Deborah, prior to the World Athletics Championships threatened to quit athletics due to lack of support. She disclosed it on Citi Tv Ghana on a live sports show. She narrated how athletes are suffering and no help is coming from anywhere.
