Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has agreed to play for Ghana after meeting with Chris Hughton, the four-time African champions’ yet-to-be-appointed coach.
On Sunday afternoon, the 68-year-old met with Hudson-Odoi and his father, Bismark Odoi, at the Labadi Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
The Ghana Football Association [GFA] and other Ghanaian players in Europe have long coveted the Chelsea Academy graduate.
Hudson-Odoi has opted to swap allegiances after being convinced by the idea of the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager for Ghana.

The 21-year-old has three senior England games under his belt, but he is eligible for a nationality change because all three occurred before he turned 21 and none were at a major tournament.
According to reports, Chris Hughton will meet with Brighton right-back Tariq Lamptey and Southampton midfielder Mohammed Salisu next month to persuade them to play for Ghana.
Hughton is expected to take over as Ghana national team coach from Milovan Rajevac, who was fired last week.
Hughton is anticipated to be in the bench when Ghana takes on Nigeria in a March playoff match for a spot in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
