Bono Region Organises Athletics Technical Examination

Bono 20 Aug. AH – National Sports Authority, Bono Region, the Athletics Coach (Mr. Mike Kwame Penou) with his athletes on Saturday 20th August 2022 had their Athletics Technical Examination, which is to help his athletes who began training some months ago.
The Purpose of the Examination was to know how best and prepared the Athletes were so far, which include:

Crouch start: Observation, On your Marks Position and set Position, Technical approach.

Middle and Long Distance: Technical Observation, Standing start, Synchronised Position of Arms and Legs, Extention of the Hips Knees, and Ankles.

Throws: Technical Observation, Javelin Held HorizontalOver the Shoulder, Top of Javelinat the Head Height and withdraw Grips.

ShotPut: Technical Observation Shot rests on the fingers and the base of the fingers, Fingers are Parallel and Slightly Spread, the Shot is placed at the front part of the neck, and the thumb of the Collarbone, Elbow is out at a 45 degrees angle of the body.

Sekyere Richard has had a 10-year involvement in the sport of athletics. He holds a Diploma in Physical Fitness. Sekyere has experienced the sport as a middle/distance athlete, coach, and now journalist and blogger. Sekyere has published several articles on athletics from Ghanaian Athletics to World Athletics. I have volunteered in one of the biggest ultra-marathons in the world "The Elton Ultra Marathon in Russia. Covered many races in Ghana including ECOWAS CAA Region II Championship and multiple roads and track races in Ghana. In 2021, he launched the "Better Ghana Athletics Agenda", which will help support organisers, athletes and coaches in all directions.
