Ayew Brothers Allegedly Quit Black Stars – Reports

According to various reports in the local media, Ghana captain Andre Ayew and his younger brother Jordan Ayew have allegedly quit the Black Stars.
The Ayew bothers have been a pivotal players in the senior national team for the past decade and went on to win FIFA World Cup in Egypt.

The Ayew brothers were members of the Black Stars team that competed in Cameroon for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON].
In the last decade, the duo has been an integral element of the Black Stars squad.
Despite the fact that they were responsible for some of the most significant goals for the national team during that time, they were frequently chastised by Ghanaians when things went wrong.
Following a poor performance by Ghana at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon, rumours surfaced on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, claiming that both Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew have decided to retire from international service.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac has been fired by the GFA’s Executive Council.
In addition, the Black Stars’ technical team has been dissolved.
