Ashanti Regional NSA Donates To Junior Olympics Championships
On Friday, December 17, 2021, the Acting (Ag.) Regional Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Appiah, on behalf of the NSA’s Director-General, Prof. Peter Twumasi, made a donation of drinking water to support the Junior Olympics Games currently taking place at KNUST’s Paa Joe stadium. On Friday morning, Ghana’s 100m record holder Benjamin Azamati received the packs of bottled water from the Regional Director of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Appiah at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The maiden edition of the Junior Olympics Championships is a two-day meet event. The championship began on Friday, 17th December at the Paa Joe Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The final day of the event is slated on Saturday 18th December. The Junior Olympics Championships is the last track and field event of the season in Ghana.
The event was graced by Olympian and Ghana 100 metres record holder Benjamin Azamati.

The Junior Olympics competition is open to all regions and is organised by Legon Creative Athletics Club and SeedAfrique in collaboration with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Sports Directorate.
