Asante Kotoko beats Aduana Stars in Dormaa to make history

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated Aduana Stars for the first time in Ghana Premier League history in Dormaa, thanks to goals from Mfegue Omgba and Richmond Lamptey. Asante Kotoko beats Aduana Stars in Dormaa to make history.

The Porcupine Warriors knew that getting off to a solid start would help them capture all three points, and they got off to a terrific start with Cameroonian striker Mfegue Omgba breaking the deadlock in the 19th minute.

Despite Aduana Stars’ threats on several occasions during the game, Kotoko concluded the first half with a goal advantage.

Aduana tried and pushed for a goal in the second half, but they were unable to break down a solid Asante Kotoko defense.

Richmond Lamptey scored his third goal of the season with the game moving towards a 1-0 win for Kotoko, ensuring all three points for the Porcupine Warriors.

With a game in hand over Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko now sits top the Ghana Premier League table.

Despite the loss, the Aduana Stars are still in third place in the league standings.
