Am Ready To Break 10s Barrier – OLY Sarfo Ansah | Sarfo Ansah | Ghanaian Olympic Athlete | 

The only local athlete in Ghana to be selected to represent Ghana at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has vowed to break the 10.00 seconds barrier in 100m dash.

Sarfo Ansah hails from Amasaman a suburb of Greater Accra and now attends the University of Development Studies, Tamale.

According to him, he has been preparing very well for the 2022 season and he is ready to run faster times than last year, he has also set his eyes to break the 10 seconds barrier. He will be competing at the Zonal I Circuit Championship in Tamale.

Last year he was the fastest man in Ghana and set a local record in 100m dash in 10.14s. 

“My plan is to run faster times than last year”, he said.

He chalked a lot of success on the track and he is now the reigning champion of the 2021 CAA Region II Championship in both 100m and 200m respectively.

According to him, being part of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Ghana Team has helped him to learn a lot. He also hinted about the intention of qualifying for the upcoming Senior African Championships in Mauritius and the Commonwealth Games.
