Am Ready For Any Challenge At Asante Akyem Marathon – Ishmael Fialor
The 2020 Koforidua Marathon champion, Ismael Fialor vows to redeem his glory in Asante Akyem Marathon Challenge. For the past 5 years, Ismael has been training on his own without any coach’s guidance. Am ready for any challenge at Asante Akyem Marathon – Ishmael Fialor.
Ishmael said “training is now going on well and I give thanks to the Almighty God and to Coach Evans. My coach has really transformed my running form and now I can see being on a different level.”

He won the Koforidua Marathon in a course record time. Ishmael got injured and he was not training for the past month. He competed at the maiden edition of the Sekondi Takoradi Half Marathon but he was injured after an abysmal performance.
He was a pre-race favorite and after the Athleicshour.com had one on one interview with him and he said “I have been training and battling with injuries for some time now, coming to this race I was not fully fit. But I thank God I had completed the race from now I won’t compete in any competition again. Am going to focus on treating my injury and I will be back again” Ishmael disclosed.
“I will run a beautiful race coming 25th September at Asante Akyem Marathon Challenge. At first, I was training on my own but now I have a coach and am very happy about that. So this time I will be running the change in me” he said to Athleticshour.com

The 4th edition of the Asante Akyem Marathon Challenge is scheduled for 25th September 2021. The elite men will cover a distance of 24km from Konongo to Agogo.
