Am Here To Defend My Title – Ishmael Fialor

The reigning champion of the Koforidua Marathon 2020, Ishmael Fialor is here again to defend his title. The last year’s winner of the 42.2km race was from the Ashanti Region. According to him winning a big event like this puts on a lot of pressure on you. When you go to any competition everyone will be watching because you are the champion.

“My training is going on well this time. But I had an injury at the beginning of the year, so I stopped training for a while. I used the Good Day Energy Cross Country as part of my preparations to defend my title here. I know it won’t be easy for me tomorrow but am here as the reigning champion of Koforidua Marathon 2020.”, said Ishmael Fialor.

According to him, the injury came during the National Sports Authority (NSA) National Cross Country Championship that was held in February.
