Akim Oda 2022: Hon Victoria Adu Welcomes Athletes

The arrival date for the several Regions into Oda for registration and the National Cross Country 2022 orientation session is today, February 24th.
The session started at 6 p.m. with teams from ten different regions, with the rest joining later.

The teams completed a successful registration process before being guided through the orientation process by Hon. Victoria Adu, MCE of the Birim Central Municipal Assembly, was accompanied by members of the National Planning Committee and the LOC.

During her welcome address, she encourages them to concentrate on the trophy because all other plans to keep them going have been made and are being well looked after, and they have nothing else to think about except the ultimate, the trophies.

She reminded them that winning doesn’t stop in Oda; it also qualifies them for the Accra 2023 All African Games, which will be held in Ghana.
We had all but two regions in arrival before the end of the day. The Upper East and Savannah Regions afterward verified that they had reached Oda’s midway point.

All athletes were shown to their rooms of accommodation to rest as they hope to continue the processes tomorrow morning.
