The Teranga Lions are expected to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, according to a group of Senegalese journalists in Cameroon for the postponed tournament. AFCON 2021: Senegal Will Lift The Trophy – Senegalese Journalists.

The journalists arrived in Bafoussam on Tuesday, ahead of the Senegalese delegation’s arrival in the country. After delaying their departure on Tuesday, the Teranga Lions were scheduled to arrive in Cameroon on Wednesday.

Senegal is the favorite in the group, according to Ibrihima Mboup, Editor-in-Chief in Charge of Sports at the Senegalese Radio and Television (RTS) station.

“In terms of potentials, Senegal is superior to the other three opponents (in Group B). However, we are going to have very difficult matches because these are not training games, but we are hopeful Senegal will win the trophy at the end of the day,” Mboup, who is heading a team of RTS reporters said.READ ALSO

Ndeye Dome Thiouf and Babacar Faye of the EMEDIA Invest Group, who were among the first to arrive in Bafoussam, agreed with him.

“Senegal is not only favourite for the knockout stages, but to win the cup,” Faye said. He predicted that Cameroon, Senegal, Algeria, Morocco, Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia will reach the the knockout stages of the competition.
