On Friday, January 7, 2022, the President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, and his wife arrived in Cameroon via Douala International Airport. AFCON 2021: CAF President Patrice Motsepe arrives in Cameroon with wife.

Motsepe will attend the opening ceremony and the opening match of AFCON 2021, which will be held at Olembe Stadium, alongside President of the Republic of Cameroon, H.E Paul Biya.


Cameroon will play Burkina Faso in the opening match of the 2021 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) on Sunday, January 9th, 2022 at the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde.
