2022 Accra Inter-City Marathon Route Revealed

The 2022 Accra inter-City Marathon “Homowo Marathon” has been revealed by the race organisers. According to the race organisers the starting point will be from Spintex Road “Papaye Junction” and athletes will pass through the principal streets of the Greater Accra Region and ends at Mantse Agbonaa, James Town.

“The 21 kilometres race will start from Papaye at Spintex Road and end at Mantse Agbonaa, James Town, with all water, medical, ambulance security and traffic issues are well arranged”, said Mr. Henri Senyo Penni, General Manager of Medivents Consult.

2022 Accra Inter City Marathon Prizes Announced

The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) during the launch also assured the general public that the route has been certified and it’s accurate and we should expect a world class half marathon on 30th July.

Elevation Gain – 86m above sea level

Maximum Elevation – 40m above sea level

Terrain – Flat
