2021 EASTERN REGIONAL INTER-DISTRICT CROSS-COUNTRY

The Eastern Regional Coordinating Council will be organising its annual cross-country in the region. The aim of this inter-district cross-country is to select the best athletes to form their regional team ahead of the upcoming National Cross-Country Championship in 2022. 2021 EASTERN REGIONAL INTER-DISTRICT CROSS-COUNTRY.

The cross-country is brought to you by the National Sports Authority in collaboration with the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council.

The 2022 National Cross-Country Championship will be held at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region. The region is keen on winning the individuals and the overall region respectively.

The maiden edition of the NSA National Cross-Country Championships was held at Mpohor, Western Region. The second edition was also organised at Gomoa Adjumako in the Central Region and the third edition was held at Sefwi Wiaso in the Western North Region. Western North Region is part of the six newly created regions in Ghana.

ALL DISTRICTS ARE EXPECTED TO COMPETE FOR INCLUSION INTO THE REGIONAL TEAM (MALE & FEMALE)

Akim Oda 2022 National Cross-Country is scheduled for 19 February 2022 with the theme “running towards Accra 2023 African Games”

I have volunteered in one of the biggest ultra-marathons in the world "The Elton Ultra Marathon in Russia. Covered many races in Ghana including ECOWAS CAA Region II Championship and multiple roads and track races in Ghana. In 2021, he launched the "Better Ghana Athletics Agenda", which will help support organisers, athletes and coaches in all directions.
