2021 AFCON: Ghana should have just called me – Kevin-Prince Boateng

Boateng, 34, stated on Twitter that current head coach Milovan Rajevac should have called him back to play for the squad. 2021 AFCON: Ghana should have just called me – Kevin-Prince Boateng.
After learning of the sad result of the Black Stars’ first game at the ongoing in Cameroon, Boateng wrote, “Ghana should have just called me.”

When asked about Boateng in 2020, former coach Charles Akonnor, who qualified the squad for the tournament, stated, “If Kevin Prince Boateng is available, why not?”
“He’s played previously, he’s experienced [and deserving of consideration], but his problems with the Black Stars prevent him from being considered.
“I’ll have to discuss it with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) before making any decisions,” he said.

“We all know he left with a lot of baggage, and we need to clear it up before we contemplate bringing him back.”
